The Fletchers 2: Round 5 / EAT MOR CHIKIN

When we last left Rudy and Zoe, they were new parents of a daughter they named Wendy's.  Yes, she is named after the restaurant.  Rudy had sympathetic pregnancy cravings for Wendy's during Zoe's pregnancy.  Rudy has never been right, though.  He is addicted to old ladies, either strongly attracted to them or driven to violence against them.  Anyway, other then Rudy's quirkiness, they are a boring bunch who prefer to have their noses in books above most other activities.  Rudy is a dark wizard, but don't get too excited.  He stays as close to neutral as possible to still be allowed to wear the black robes.  He thinks they look cooler, and besides, his truly evil little sister Sophie would probably curse him if he wore another color.  Little Wendy's wears her hair in red braids to live up to her name, although she has only one nice point.  She's taken over the neighborhood newspaper theft route from Amiee Bauer who went off to college.



Rudy and Zoe just moved into a new house, and it looks like it's just in the nick of time.



Zoe nearly impaled her head on the light fixture when giving birth to...

Yes, the poor girl's name is Chick-Fil-A.  And yes, this time Rudy's Couvade syndrome led to trips into Apple City for Chick-Fil-A. 



Wendy's was at school when her little sister was born.  She seems aware of her existence, but for some reason is going in through the back door.  Maybe she's not that excited to be sharing the attention.



My son Ian jogged by in something the real Ian would not be caught dead wearing, so I just had to include the picture.



I asked the Fletchers to try to be a little less boring so I could stay awake through playing their house.  I guess that Rudy couldn't have planned this, but it seems like it will really help.



Oh my gosh!!!  You're a knowledge sim and you love this, so I'm really not buying all the drama.



But good work, Rudy.  See you in a bit.



Rudy was still able to go to work the next day, of course.  He came home as the Hand of Poseidon.  The Hand of Poseidon is sick with a cold.  Go lie down, Rudy.  Rudy seems susceptible to getting sick, which makes the idea of hanging out in the water all the time seem like a bad career choice for him.  His LTW is to become a Space Pirate, but he's never been able to find a job opening in the Adventurer career track.



This is a chance card I have never seen before.  She can either write about vegetables or frostbite. *yawn*

She chose to write about vegetables, but made it more interesting by writing about how plant sims come to exist.  That is not really making the Fletcher house more interesting, but I'm happy you brought home an extra §4000.



Zoe is now the University of Applebama's Dean of Students.  Zoe, you are still not trying very hard to not be boring.



I see that Rudy has chosen the fun blue Hawaiian maternity outfit.  It's funny that so many sims change their hairstyle during pregnancy, but for Rudy that wizard's hat is going to stay, at least with the maternity outfit.



Wendy's had Desire Shibata over after school one day, and they had a good time playing Mary Mack. *yawn*



Well, he doesn't wear the wizard's hat when naked.  When naked, his hair is very short, too.

Rudy is still trying to keep this episode interesting.  He helped Chick-Fil-A with her toddler birthday, but did not wear pants.  That really wasn't what I had in mind, though.



After that he continued to walk around naked for awhile.



A you feeling a bit of a draft yet, Rudy?  Dude, please, put on some pants.



Rudy finally found an opening in the Adventurer career track after nearly a lifetime of searching. 



After having waited all that time to get into the Adventurer field, he decided to fly to work in his pajamas since he was technically on maternity leave and without a carpool.  I'm sure that is not the safest idea, but what the heck.



Careful now, Rudy.  Your balance may be off when you're pregnant.



Well, he seems to be okay...



More than okay, really.  He just got promoted from Warhead Disarmer to Hostage Negotiator.  And I think he looks mighty fine, too.



Zoe has now become the Education Minister, the top of the Education field. Good job, but... *yawn*

But Chick-Fil-A has a new non-boring look.  She will probably hate me later for this, but there is a chicken hat in my game, she has a head, and her name is Chick-Fil-A.  How could I be expected to resist that kind of temptation? 



Rudy has made it into the "special birthing room" - the tiny 1x3 bathroom on the first floor.

Where he was going to give birth to twins.  Hahahahahahaha....



And so here we have added more green babies to Apple Grove.  Green babies may soon outnumber all other colors combined.



And I'm sure you'd never suspect me of taking pictures of the same baby and pass it off as twins, right?  There are two babies, but I only really got pictures of the first one.  I don't know why.  But they look a lot alike, and I can't go back and retake baby pictures, so let us pretend, shall we?

I have been known to go back and age sims down for pictures before and then not save the game.  You can do that down to toddler with "agesimscheat on", but I don't think you can ever make them a baby again.  I need to get better at taking a lot of baby pictures.

When Rudy was giving birth, Zoe took this opportunity to walk through them and the door to come and unclog the toilet.  This is just perfect.




And yes, Rudy had had own real cravings this time - twice as bad as what they were before, sending him flying on his broom into Apple City in search of Applebee's and Jack-in-the-Box, which of course are perfect names for kids. ;)



This guy Heath called, and I don't think Rudy even knew him.  I often hate it when my sims get calls, but sometimes it's worthwhile to let them talk for awhile.

Okay, well feel free to do that, because Rudy really wants to be a Space Pirate as soon as possible.



Heath Mace kept his word, and Rudy was promoted to International Sim of Mystery the next time he went to work.



Rudy is teaching Chick-Fil-A how to order chicken.



And it looks like she's happy that I don't make her wear the chicken hat with her pajamas.



Nanny Shenene served up holiday roast.  Normally I get annoyed at her when she cooks up an extravagant meal, but maybe she's helping them celebrate Thanksgiving.  I never tend to help my sims remember the holidays.  That's something I hope to change, but I have to really make an effort to think about it.



Well, this is awkward.  Another parenting FAIL in Apple Grove.  I really need to use better doors on master bedrooms.



And why are they discussing having another baby?  I think they really need to stop at four now that they have a male heir.  This house has reached full capacity.



Applebee's is adorable.



Jack-in-the-Box has to wear some springy accessories.  He probably won't complain, seeing what his older sister Chick-Fil-A has to endure.



And we get one more look at Wendy's as a child.



Who looks pretty much the same as a teen, only bigger.

Wendy's would like to have a lot of money.  She would prefer to find an older man who is creative, but not a hard worker.  Her secondary LTW is Romance.



Wow, Christopher finds Wendy's totally unappealing.  I just wish he could be a little nicer about it.



Rudy has finally been promoted to Space Pirate!    Since he's already been to space with the aliens, maybe that helped his resume.

And he has finally earned his LTW.



Applebee's is lucky that so far I haven't found anything unusual for her to wear.



Jack-in-the-Box tried to protest a bit about his headgear, but I'm not buying it because he looks too happy to be taken seriously.



I will leave you with a picture of Chick-Fil-A coloring a picture.  See, she's a happy child despite her unfortunate lot in life of having to wear a chicken hat.
