The Shibatas: Round 4 / Honey

Photobucket

Last time we visited the Shibatas, they got married and went on their honeymoon to Twikkii Island. Before we left them, Kimberly was bowing to the potty god.

Photobucket

She was still in the throne room when she received her inheritance from her grandpa Sam Tucker.

Photobucket

My son Jason decided to drop by for a visit. Apparently, Jason can't dance. I guess I should have gotten the Bauer family a stereo. I will make sure they get one in Round 5!

Photobucket

Kimberly shares some of her comfort soup, a recipe passed down from her Grandpa Sam.

Photobucket

Rudy Fletcher the Mean Warlock married Kimberly's sister Zoe and moved in with her, but still is hanging around in his old apartment too, even though Jill Fleig is now on the lease. I finally had to delete him to make him go away. I really didn't want him here anymore - beating up one old lady neighbor and making out with the other.

Photobucket

Ravi got promoted to host. He can now ditch the wiener uniform and wear his 37 pieces of flair.

Photobucket

Jason is still visiting. He has found a video game, so he may never leave.

Photobucket

Soon Kimberly discovered she was definitely pregnant. As a romance sim, I guess the news was so frightening to Kimberly it curled her hair. To me she hardly looks like the same person.

Photobucket

Since she looked so very different, I figured a makeover might be good. To me she looks a lot better without the curly hair, plus I might still recognize her when I see her somewhere else.

Photobucket

Jason spent the night in the Shibatas hot tub.

Photobucket

The creepy landlord loves kitties, but this one is a special kitty that doesn't want to be petted.

Photobucket

Kimberly and Ravi decided to go out to lunch at the town's Chinese restaurant.

Photobucket

At first glance I thought Clinton Webb was cheating on his wife Grace with an old lady, but then I remembered that Grace had become an elder. I'm glad they're still in love.

Photobucket

Kimberly tells the waiter all about her trip to Twikkii Island, and he really wishes he were there. In the background, the redhead with the blond pigtails is their new neighbor Jill Fleig. Well actually the blond pigtails belong to Devan Brown who is hiding right behind her.

Photobucket

The waiter tries to slit Ravi's throat with a plate in hopes of getting to go on the next vacation with Kimberly, but it didn't work out.

Photobucket

Never one to be discouraged by a little stench, the landlord tries again to pet the kitty with the same results. I guess he must be creepy AND insane.

Photobucket

Jason finally decides to leave after spending a good 24 hours with the Shibatas. I wonder if sim me is at home worrying?

Photobucket

Kimberly maximized her interest in cuisine and got her plaque. It seems only logical that when you're eating for two that you would be interested in food. I remember that cuisine was always important to me when I was pregnant, although I doubt nachos and chili dogs are considered "cuisine."

Photobucket

Here's Ravi with all his flair. He is now a waiter, so he will get to continue expressing himself a little while longer. Just don't flip off your boss, okay?

Photobucket

Here is a view of Apple Grove at twilight. I have a mod by Spookymuffin that changes the lighting between 6-7 am and pm. I love it.

Photobucket

Kimberly decided to greet my fake daughter Amiee who is out for a walk with Padi.

Photobucket

She and Padi had fun playing Razzle. The real Padi wouldn't have wanted to play Razzle, but loved all the petting you would give her. She hardly knew a stranger because she loved attention. Any guest that visited had little choice but to pet RL Padi, as she would park herself right in front of them with her chin on their knee.

Photobucket

Kimberly successfully studied fire safety, which made her hungry. Everything makes her hungry these days.

Photobucket

I saw something here I had never seen before. Kimberly called Amiee upstairs to show off her shell collection and tell her about it. Unfortunately, Ravi wasn't finished with his business.

Photobucket

It looks like it's finally that time. Why do sims have to be pregnant for 3 years? Well, it does seem like 3 years in real life.

Photobucket

Aww... a cute baby girl

Photobucket

And her name is Honey.

Photobucket

And here is their first family photo.

Photobucket

Kimberly went right back to work that day and decided to reveal all.

Photobucket

And her website was so good that she got a book deal out of it - and §20,000.

Photobucket

When they called for a nanny, the other nanny answered the phone and I was disappointed. Thankfully, Nanny Shenene was the one that actually showed up. For a nanny, she is a good one.

Photobucket

That day Kimberly reached the top of her career and her Lifetime Want.

Photobucket

She finally met her neighbor Jill who loves the fake out handshake.

Photobucket

Kimberly gave her a cellphone because she doesn't have a phone in her apartment.

Photobucket

Cool, maybe they can get Jill to babysit sometime while they go out to eat.

Photobucket

Honey's first birthday was here before they knew it.

Photobucket

And she is a mummy. That's not cool. It's February, so it can't be a Halloween costume.

Photobucket

This is better. She is a cute toddler now.

Photobucket

I was surprised to find that Kimberly had earned all of her lifetime aspiration benefits. She is the first sim in Apple Grove to do this.

Photobucket

Since she had the want of hiring a butler, I decided to reward Kimberly. Charlie McClellan here has not yet mastered the front door, so I'm not sure how he will be as a butler.

Photobucket

Once he figured that out, he took went and picked up the smart milk off the floor and threw it away before honey could reach it. Geez, dude! Lighten up a bit, would you?

Photobucket

This extreme closeup of Ravi is brought to you by the apartment mailbox - the thing he likes to stand and face when he exits his carpool. After much camera maneuvering I was able to get a picture. Thank you, Gunmod! I'm sure I couldn't have done it without you. He has been promoted to Prep Cook.

Photobucket

Ravi finally harvests some of his special plants he's been growing in the garage.

Photobucket

Kimberly smells the flowers in her front yard.

Photobucket

Kimberly is weird because she gets really psyched every time she has to clean something.

Photobucket

She sits down with Honey to have a talk - about talking. Clearly Honey is not that interested in the conversation yet.

Photobucket

Charlie is full of conceit about his superiority over other servants, but I was happy to hear that my sims wouldn't have to chase the nanny around trying to dismiss her.

Photobucket

EPIC FAIL, Charlie. Not only did you fail to dismiss the nanny, you are now helping her do the Dance of the seven bottles. Just what I wanted - NOT.

Photobucket

As you can see, Charlie also has absolutely no concept of personal space.

Photobucket

Even though Kimberly managed to get some smart milk to Honey, right after this Charlie came in a gave her a regular bottle.

Photobucket

Thankfully, little Honey can now go potty by herself.

Photobucket

When you have a radio on in the house, all the neighbors in the apartment complex can't resist doing the Smustle right outside your window.

Photobucket

Shouldn't you take off the gloves, Charlie? Oh well, toddler bathing is a long process, so I'm kind of glad the butler takes care of it.

Photobucket

Great, now we're getting hobby spam from the neighbors.

Photobucket

Oh crap! Ravi just got abducted...

Photobucket

And guess what? No kidding, it's not good to leave Honey alone? Kimberly had just gotten into the carpool car to go to work when Ravi was abducted. There was no way to get her out. But, I cheated and teleported in the Nanny Shenene. I deducted a point for Honey getting taken by the social worker, even though it didn't happen. It could have, but I wasn't going to let it.

Photobucket

As soon as Ravi returned from his extraterrestrial trip, he got a sudden craving for cheese.

Photobucket

With the family quickly expanding and the apartment building having constant glitchy problems, the Shibatas moved into this nice house. They were almost able to pay it off, but only had a small mortgage from Simlogical.

Photobucket

Oh crap! I played with the sound off, so I didn't hear the bells. Both of them are pregnant.

Photobucket

Just for a review, here is Kimberly's family tree. I forgot to add Tucker to the family tree, as Kimberly used to be a Tucker.

Scoring: 1 point for the addition of Honey, 1 point for Kimberly's Cuisine plaque, 1 point for Kimberly getting all her Lifetime Aspiration Benefits, -1 point for Honey almost getting taken by the social worker. The current population of Apple Grove is 35. The total population is 37.

Wow Apple Grove is a good looking place. I didn't realize. Honey is very pretty.

HAhahaha! Both pregnant and once. That house will be fun to play when you get back to it. ;)

I'm not sure you would have lost Honey by her father being abducted. I had that happen to one of my toddlers once.
His mother was missing for six hours and he got really hungry and tired, but he wasn't taken away. Maybe Social Services doesn't work nights?

By the way - I love your style of telling the story as an outside observer!

I love the twilight picture, and also wanted to say that Apple Grove is one of the prettiest, most quaint and interesting looking neighborhoods I've seen.

I LOVE Kristen's hair makeover. She is quite pretty.

I actually really like Jill Fleig. I just moved her into Fellowship One recently. With a bit of a makeover she's really pretty.

This Nanny Shenene does seem like a good one. I've had 2 nannies that were really good. One that showed up when another nanny glitched (which I didn't mind) and another that was around Breeze Point, but I don't remember her name.

Wow....bad timing about the abduction. Glad Honey didn't end up getting taken. Their new house is BEAUTIFUL!

Thanks, ciyrose! I'm glad to know Jill Fleig is good. I'll have to remember that, as I still see her around Apple Grove.
