The Browns: Round 6 / Bigfoot Named My Baby

When we last saw the Browns, they adopted a dog named Swift from the pound that first belonged to Daniel's sister Devan and her husband Charles Fletcher.  The Brown's mission was to train her in all the bad behaviors.  Once they trained her, they decided to give her back to Devan.  Daniel was promoted to General in the military.  They went camping and got a little surprise.  The Contessa was now pregnant and very hungry, so they went on a "hunting" trip to Three Lakes.  They brought back a live-in servant - a Sasquatch named Stephen who they planned to have take care of their baby.

As soon as I arrived back at the Brown house, Contessa Hailey went into labor with their first child.

Photobucket

And she was delighted to know that her first child was a son, so he would be heir to their beautiful house and growing financial wealth.

Photobucket

The Contessa snuggled her newborn son for just a second before she had to leave him in the capable hands of their live-in servant Stephen.

This left the decision of naming the baby to Stephen.  Since Stephen is a Sasquatch, all he does is think about and eat food.  Constantly.  He had found it interesting just that morning that his breakfast cereal box had a cartoon vampire on it.  He liked human food, as it was a nice change from eating fish all day every day.  He also liked sleeping in a bed on clean sheets, but now we're getting off topic.  Anyway, the cereal was quite delicious and had brown, chocolate marshmallows in it, so he thought it only seemed logical to name the baby Count Chocula, especially since their last name was Brown and his mother is a Contessa.  It all fit so nicely.

And a little off topic note: this picture violated Photobucket's TOS.  I'm not sure if it's bigfoot's butt or the Count Chocula logo, but I was really surprised.  I had to upload this one to Blogger.  I try not to include pictures I find offensive, LOL.

Photobucket

Daniel is a proud father.  I knew he would be a great father since he cared so much about raising his baby sister Devan when his parents disappeared and he was only a teen.

Photobucket

Stephen was in big trouble with Daniel for naming his son after a breakfast cereal, but Daniel allowed to him live.  There was some tension for awhile, though.  Daniel was upset, knowing that naming schemes stick in Apple Grove and will affect generations to come.  I'm sure he knows that Count Chocula is more of a cereal name than a vampire name, and Stephen has now doomed all the future Brown home children to the fate of being named after breakfast cereals.

Photobucket

And, Awww!  He's a cute toddler, and has the longest eyelashes of any kid I think I've seen in Apple Grove.  I think he chose the bear outfit because he really loves his Uncle Stephen and wants to be a Bigfoot when he grows up.

Photobucket

And Stephen is a perfect caretaker to little Count Chocula.

Photobucket

The Contessa posed for a photo-op.  It's a proud moment for her, because she now has reached the top of the culinary career.  Thankfully, Celebrity Chefs get off work at night, making this less painful for her than a day shift picture.

Photobucket

She has also fulfilled her lifetime want and now has her own cooking show called "Cooking With Blood."  Yum.

Photobucket

She also got into the garden club with a perfect score and earned yet another wishing well for the backyard.

Photobucket

It was time for another birthday for little Chocula.  This time the Contessa held him to blow out his candles.

Photobucket

But first we have to get one more toddler picture in here.

Photobucket

And see, he chose brown pajamas, with footprints on them.  He's a really cute kid.

Photobucket

The Brown's yard has a pond which is nice because he needs to fill his time quite a bit with his parents always asleep during the daylight hours, and fishing is a fun way to pass the time.

Photobucket

Daniel explained to Headmaster Terminal in the overly informative and honest way of a child that his parents aren't out to greet him since they are alseep in coffins in the basement until nightfall, when they come out and hunt for blood.  He's also still in the pajamas.  He pretty much lives in them when he's not at school.  He tends to stay up late to spend time with his parents, so he's tired a lot.

Photobucket

But he did show up at the dinner table in some normal clothes.  Stephen had prepared and served up a nice dinner of lobster thermidor for dinner, hopefully with a minimal amount of bigfoot hairs in it.  The Headmaster would hardly notice if there were hairs, because he gobbled down his food in his typical ill-mannered way.

Photobucket

The Contessa wore her sexiest nightie, knowing the headmaster is fond of cleavage. He looks quite pleased.

Photobucket

And they got their son into private school with no trouble at all.  I was a little disappointed that the Bauers only got a 92 on their headmaster scenario, but then my simself did not wear a sexy nightie.  We had 41 food points, 30 tour points and 21 schmooze points.  I guess cleavage fits under the tour category.  I thought it may have fit in the schmooze category, but we got more schmooze points than they did.

Photobucket

Daniel was all prepared to make a new category for the headmaster scenario called "fear points," but it all worked out fine without resorting to any unpleasantness.

Photobucket

The Browns decided to go on another vacation, waiting under after nightfall to leave.

Photobucket

If only they could plan their arrival time.  It's unfortunate that they always have to arrive when it's so bright and painful and go directly to bed.

Photobucket

Chocula was left to his own devices during the daytime, as Stephen did not come with them.  I see his getting an early start spying on Mary Gavigan.  And yet again, he's in the brown pajamas.

Photobucket

Daniel had no trouble learning to teleport from the Ninja.

Photobucket

And the ninja bowed even more respectfully to the Contessa.  Some sims have to chase the ninja all over Takemizu Village and try many, many times to earn his respect.  I guess vampires are intimidating enough to earn the ninja's respect right away.

Photobucket

Once they've seen all the sights, vacation time is often a great time for Apple Grove's residents to get in some portrait painting.  As long as vampires stay busy with whatever activity they were doing before the sun came up, they don't react to the sunlight and can stay up as long as they keep at one activity.  As soon as they are interrupted or quit what they're doing, their needs go down quickly and they have to go to bed.

Photobucket

While they were up painting, they did get interrupted by lightning hitting a tree in the backyard of their vacation home.  Those fires always seem to go out on their own, except this time the fire did not go out, but burned up the tree and kept on burning through everything in the backyard.  Even though he was risking his life as much from the sun as from the fire, Daniel had to put out the fire before it started burning the house.  It seemed to be going well...

Photobucket

And then he caught on fire.  I must have had the Contessa on the phone to the fire department by then.

Photobucket

Thankfully, the firefighter arrived really quickly before Daniel became a pile of ash from the combined problem of being on fire and out in the sun.

Photobucket

He was able to make it back into his coffin in the very nick of time.  I was really surprised he made it, because as you see, it was a very nearly fatal experience.  I'm so glad, because I really love Daniel and would hate to lose him like this.

Photobucket

And of course, the return shuttle arrived for them during daylight hours so that he had to burn some more on his way home, but I guess by comparison, it was a very mild experience getting to the car safely compared to being literally on fire.

This does not really fit anywhere, so I thought I'd add it to the end of the update.  Last time I showed the most attractive sims in Apple Grove according to Forrest and Beverly Hamilton, with the possible idea of figuring out who are the most attractive sims in Apple Grove.  Here's the Contessa's list:

Photobucket

Her husband Daniel is second after the evil garden club guy Alec Ebadi.  Of course, Alec has a near twin in Quinten Butler which we found out last time in the Hamilton's update.

Photobucket

And unfortunately for the Contessa, she is at number 8 for Daniel, so she was on page 2 for him.  He did try dating the awful reporter Lisa Pons at number 4 for awhile, but they didn't really have the chemistry you might expect.

And of course, Stephen Bigfoot is not allowed to be attracted to anyone, so he has no list.  Poor Stephen.

Photobucket

And finally, here is Daniel's family tree, complete with portraits of his missing parents who by now are presumed to be dead.

Scoring:  Not a lot of scoring this time, as Daniel and Contessa Hailey have already accomplished quite a bit.  Contessa Hailey did earn 1 point for reaching the top of the Culinary career, and of course 1 point was earned by adding Count Chocula to the neighborhood.  The population of Apple Grove is currently 64, with a total population of 67.

Oh goodness...that was a really close call. I know he's doomed but how can you beat Count Chocula for a baby with two vampires for parents?

Count Chocula!Too much! Naming kids after breakfast cereals. LOL I like how you constantly send your sims on vacation. I wouldn't be nervy enough to send vamps on vaca. I need to try it.

Thank you, Laura. :)

I was probably more stupid than nervy. ;) But it's really no more of a challenge than for them to be home, except going to and from the shuttle and of course during fires.

Poor kid - Count Chocola! :D I hope those eyelashes make up for that. This is a very entertaining family and I like them a lot. I held my breath when Daniel caught fire - glad he made it!

The food always makes it when it comes to getting the children into private school. My rookie confused try with that challenge, was when I had just started playing the game - and I tried with Dustin Broke(as he had that wish)and went for 100% smooching. That didn't go so well ... I should have gotten Brandy to cook something for the headmaster. But there still would have been about zero points for the tour. :D

Oy, close call there with Daniel! I'm so glad that he managed to make it; I'd have been sad to see this family broken up that way. Plus, I'm looking forward to seeing more of their kids. Count Chocula (LOL @ YOUR NAMING SCHEMES!) is adorable!

Also, I don't know if this is what you were referencing or not, but every time I read your title, I think, "A dingo ate mah baby!!!!" Great entry. :)

Nonikk, I'm glad you enjoyed the Brown family this time. :) You know, after you wrote that about the Broke family, I couldn't resist going a playing a new game at the Broke house. The headmaster left before he could get a tour, dinner, or schmoozing. I wonder if that's just part of the game. It was sad for poor Dustin who had his hopes dashed.

SK, I'm glad you like my naming schemes. :) And yea, I was kinda thinking about the dingo ate my baby. ;)

You're brave to keep vampires in your hood. Sims2 vampires are terribly hard I think. Sims3 vampires are a breeze compared to that!

Yes, I am very glad the Sims 3 vampires are less fragile. It's a real pain taking care of vampires in Sims 2, so I probably won't be getting many more of them.

Count Chocula is such a cutie! What a sweet little boy. Love that the "bigfoot" got to name the baby...too funny.

That was a very close call for Daniel...I was very concerned about him. Glad he's ok.

Chocula is sweet, and I think he's going to be very attractive when he grows up. I was really surprised that Daniel lived through the fire and the sunlight, but very relieved.
