The Jeffresses and Miguels: Round 5 / Strawberry Limeade

Both the Jeffresses and Miguels just moved into this house that was formerly owned by rockstar Brian Tucker.  Because the sisters and their new husbands were willing to share a house, they were able to get a nicer one, and I was grateful to them for giving me just one story to write this time rather than two.

When we last visited Rose and Violet they had just returned from college and moved into an apartment.  That didn't work out too well for them, so they moved into a boarding house.  Rose was abducted by aliens, and came back with a little surprise.  Rose and Violet went on vacation to Twikkii Island with their fiancés and were both married.

Apple Jeffress, 28, Adult Knowledge, LTW Space Pirate

Rose (Hamilton) Jeffress, 34, Adult Knowledge, LTW Chief of Staff

Almond Miguel, 22, Adult Knowledge, LTW City Planner

Photobucket

Violet (Hamiliton) Miguel, 28, Adult Knowledge, LTW Hall of Famer

Photobucket

Would it surprise you to know that everyone currently in this house is a knowledge sim?  Almond and Apple are studying hard, because that's what knowledge sims love best.  I see that Brian Tucker left behind his couch and piano when he moved out.  Someday, maybe they'll have the money to redecorate.

Photobucket

The day they moved into their new house Rose had just been promoted to Specialist in the medical field, and the next day she went into labor.

Photobucket

And gave birth to a little green boy.  It seems the aliens made an exception to their usual pattern of only impregnating male abductees.*

Photobucket

And yes, the little guy's name is Lime.  The Jeffress and Miguel families are going with the nuts and fruits naming scheme since I renamed Apple and Almond.

Photobucket

And it seems like Violet may have picked up a little souvenir from her honeymoon.

Photobucket

Rose got demoted from Specialist back to General Practitioner for thumbwrestling at work.

Photobucket

Stephen Bigfoot stopped by for a visit, and Apple put him to work teaching him mechanical skills on the surgical dummy.  He could have asked his wife the General Practitioner for help, but she's always busy.  Apple is currently employed in the Adventurer career track as a Spelunker, so if he finds a mutilated torso down in the caves, thanks to Stephen he'll know exactly what to do.

Photobucket

It was time for little Lime's toddler birthday.

Photobucket

And of course, it was a short celebration due to Violet going into labor.

Photobucket

She gave birth to a baby girl.

Photobucket

Her name is Strawberry, and determining her birthday was a no-brainer since she was obviously born on Lime's birthday.  I just realized that Strawberry is the first Generation 3 baby born in Apple Grove!  Yay!

Photobucket

Lime seems a bit resentful of Apple's attempts to teach him to speak.  I'm happy to say that Apple is a good father to Lime, though.  They soon became best friends despite not being blood-related.

Photobucket

Apple Grove now has electrified gnomes to prevent theft.  This makes having gnomes in the yard a lot more entertaining, although I'm not sure Coupon was entertained.

Photobucket

Not to be discouraged, Coupon came back later that night, approaching the gnome from a different angle in hopes of a different outcome.  She failed.

Photobucket

Almond is moving up the career ladder in Architecture.  He's now been promoted to Foreman, and tomorrow in a similar picture he will get promoted to the Head of the Construction Company.  He's waving at Violet who also got a promotion today to MVP and will be promoted to Superstar tomorrow.  Violet's mom Beverly just stopped by for a visit as well.  Not pictured is Rose who got promoted to Surgeon today, and who will get promoted to Medical Researcher tomorrow.

Photobucket

Wendy's is also interested in the alien gnome.  She's trying to figure out how to make the electrical charge travel forward, up and away from her body.  She did not succeed.

Photobucket

It's nearly impossible to tell who is inside of this thing, but I know it's Apple.  He was promoted yesterday to Multiregional Sim of Some Question, and will come home later today as a Relic Liberator.  Violet also got promoted to Assistant Coach that day and Coach the next day.  Aren't you glad I spared you most of the promotion spam?

Photobucket

I hate these default "jailbird" pajamas.  I should really be less lazy.  I think Lime will be happy to get out of the horizontal stripes...

Photobucket

And into some vertical stripes.  Yep.  He's extremely happy.

Photobucket

But it looks like Aunt Rose has a picked out a worse outfit than jailbird pajamas for Strawberry - the mummy Halloween outfit.  Sims are so stupid sometimes, because it's almost Christmas, not Halloween.

Photobucket

Lime is really excited about starting school and riding the bus, which he discusses with my son Ian.  Hopefully, Ian won't kill Lime's delusions of the bus being fun by tying Lime's shoelaces together on his first day.

Photobucket

Buck Fancey stopped by for a visit, and he and Lime became fast friends.

Photobucket

Chick-Fil-A posed for an incriminating photo before trying to snatch their alien gnome - which has become the hottest object in Apple Grove.

Photobucket

I almost didn't post this photo because it seems a little cruel to zap a child, but I think you're never too young to learn that crime doesn't pay.  Muhahahahaha!

None of the neighborhood's theft attempts have worked, and so Rose and Violet still have their dear green gnome.

Photobucket

Really, Rose, again with the ugly maternity clothes?  Well I don't suppose this will be a green baby this time.

Photobucket

I had pity on Strawberry and gave her a makeover.

Photobucket

Lime is one of those fun kids who loves to play pirate captain in the bathtub, or this may have been inspired by his stepfather Apple who just got his promotion to Dread Pirate.

Photobucket

The Jeffresses and Miguels all decided it was time to go on an educational vacation to Takemizu Village on a camping vacation - all except Strawberry, who of course had to stay home with a nanny.  All of the adults were able to learn teleportation from the ninja.  I'm not sure if it was brains or intimidation that got him to teach them, though.  It looks like Rose is giving him two choices, and not the other way around.

Photobucket

The charlatan was up to his usual tricks, but thankfully had no luck in tricking Apple into parting with his wallet.

Photobucket

They all had a blast digging up their campground in search of a map to Pagoda in the Shadows.

Photobucket

Then they got to hear the Legend of the Dragon. *yawn*

Photobucket

And the most exciting thing that happened on vacation was when this unknown tourist lady got struck by lightning while they were visiting Takemizu Village Hot Springs.

*Through the power of boolprop

Scoring: 2 points for adding Lime and Strawberry to the neighborhood. 3 points to Rose for earning all of her Lifetime Aspiration Benefits.  The population of Apple Grove is currently 56, with a total population of 58.

Wow! A lot happened in this round. I like dual-households like this, though. I'm going to try my own with the older Vinci twins Conor and Liam. Strawberry is a cutie! I can't wait to see how she looks as she gets older.

Also - electrified gnomes: best idea ever.

oh my goodness, what a silly hood! I love the ridiculousness, especially the zapping gnome! LOL! Oh my gosh, even the chiold and you're amazing evil cackle... love it!

And strawberry is going to be a heartbreaker. I can tell.

Thanks, SK. :) I do enjoy playing multiple families on the same lot, and I do have plans for more houses like this so I can one day get to Generation 5.

Thanks so much, bbop. :) You made my day!

I should really try to pack my sims together more, but since I try to keep my prosperity somewhat Swedish, that's not how we do it.

The elctrical gnome seems to be something to have in boring houses :)

The electric gnome is totally full of win. I love that you combined the households sometimes a lot of new households at once can be a little daunting... it should also help to keep the population a little lower and I'm sure it's better to play 1 house full of knowledge sims than 2.

I'm glad the combined household worked out so well. I plan to do more like that - as fake duplexes and small apartment buildings for newly graduated college students, but played as one residential lot instead of the game's version of playing apartments separately.

I like the idea of combining hoods. I'm planning on doing that some in Fellowship One in duplex type houses, I'll probably try and couple different types and decide what I want to keep. The kids are cute, as always...lots of fun.

Thanks, ciyrose! I like the duplex and apartment style houses that I have now better than having them sharing a regular house like this, although since Rose and Violet sisters, it didn't seem too weird. But playing multiple families at once sure helps make the rounds go faster.
