Kimberly has rented apartment #1.
Here is more of a side view, but technically the front door is on the side.
Oh no, Kimberly thinks her new landlord Dawson Leong is really hot. This is the same creepy landlord that owns the apartments on 15 Strudel Street where Daniel Brown lives. He's always invading everyone's personal space and trying to hug them.
It looks like Kimberly just got the inheritance from her Grandma Natalya.
I need to find you a man, and fast. This guy is icky.
She needs a job right away so that she will be able to pay her future bills, so she took a job in the Natural Science field as a Clam Wrangler. It isn't really her type of job, but the pay is really good.
Since romance sims need romance, Kimberly looks through her little black book and calls the guy she ran into at college that she had such good chemistry with. His name is Ravi Shibata. I decided that I didn't want to marry her off to Daniel Brown, because she is a romance sim and he isn't.
You get to study poop, Kim. What fun for you!
Rudy Fletcher lives across the courtyard street from her in apartment #5, and he is always, always fighting with this old lady.
I do feel bad for the old lady. I don't think she's won a single fight.
When Kimberly greeted Ravi, she grabbed him and gave him a big smooch. I'm thinking this is a really good match.
When they were on their first date, I found out that Ravi is also a romance sim, so hopefully they will keep each other happy and out of trouble.
Finally, she got offered her dream job. She's going to be a professional slacker.
Sophie Fletcher came by for a visit. She and Kimberly were once next-door neighbors and were in the same Greek house - only at different times. Sophie, if you remember, was the girl who got her Lifetime Want in college by sleeping with most of the guys at Académie Le Tour. Thankfully, Ravi wasn't one of them or this friendship could quickly turn ugly.
Are you freaking kidding me? Quinten Butler is the guy who as part of the Welcome Wagon beat up Sophie's mother at Kim's house on her first day in Apple Grove! He's not a nice guy. There is no way she's going out with him.
Sophie relives her college days with fondness. She even joked about how she had thought about putting up a red light in the attic window of the Urele House. As a romance sim, Kimberly enjoys hearing about Sophie's conquests.
I wish I remembered what the significance of this gift was. Oh well.
What a great chance card! This is the third time I've seen it in Apple Grove, and Bunny Rabbits have really paid off for everyone so far.
Kimberly is now a Freelance Photographer. Maybe she should start shooting some pictures of the fights at Candy Apple Court.
She invited Rudy over one day to try to talk reason with him about why he shouldn't be fighting with an old woman. Rudy is Sophie's little brother in case you don't know or don't remember. (I'm already confused, myself because both the Tucker family and the Fletcher family have 2 girls and 2 boys) Anyway, from what she knew of Rudy (despite his extreme appearance), he used to be a nice guy up until he moved to Candy Apple Court.
The landlord threw a party down at the picnic area, but she decided to take her burger home. Maybe she's beginning to see how creepy Dawson Leong is. I hope so.
Way to go, Kimberly. Demanding cash payment for your services is usually wise.
When Kimberly got home from work the next day, not only did she seriously damage the car door on the mailbox, but it was obvious that her talk with Rudy had not made any difference at all.
This is an extra sofa that came from the Greek house that was in Kimberly's inventory. I thought it would be good to put out the garage. Unfortunately, it had some kind of permanent green stink on it - most likely from the cow mascot if I had to guess, so it had to be tossed. I thought it was funny, as I've never seen that happen before.
The landlord said that there was nothing for him to do after the party. Dude, can't you see all the dirty plates and green burgers on the tables back there???
After a dream date, Ravi found something very compelling about Kimberly's abdominal region.
They were so fond of each other, that she had him move in. He brought §5,000 with him.
For a romance sim, I think it's cool that he wants to marry off 6 children. I have the LTW variety hack from MATY, which I think is awesome.
Ravi wasted no time proposing since he temporarily forgot he was terrified of getting engaged.
Yes, such a bad memory of getting married for them, and yet they managed to look so happy.
Fortunately, they had enough money to buy a vacation home, so they bought Brickstone Chateau in Twikkii Island since they thought that an island vacation would be the most romantic for their honeymoon.
Ravi found a culinary job before they left for Twikkii Island.
It was a good time to go somewhere warm, because there was snow on the ground in Apple Grove this time of year.
As they get in the shuttle to go to the airport, you can still see Rudy and the old lady fighting in the background. They are relentless.
Ahhh, it's nice and warm on Twikkii Island. Why don't you guys go change out of those hot coats?
Okay, you two still have the coats on.
That's better.
Watch out! You don't want to end up as fish food.
Ravi practices his sword-fighting.
Kimberly finds the ghost pirate who will teach her an annoying sea chantey. Yay.
Ravi joins in the fun.
They are waiting try some Pineapple Surprise. Why are they sitting on opposite sides of the food booth? And why am I always suspicious of foods with the word "surprise" in them? I guess when I'm eating, getting surprised isn't necessarily a good thing.
Ravi is trying to learn the Island greeting "hang loose." The key is to look loose, Ravi.
Bummer. Now they have to go home for the day because they are feeling terrible.
They decide to try sunbathing, because that will be fun, right?
Then they go to these ancient ruins, either Numchuck or Jumbok. I don't know, they went to both places.
I don't find the hot springs to be very exciting.
And the sauna woo-hoo...
Yeah, couldn't they at least cuddle or something? What they supposedly did looks impossible since they are in the same position. I think we have some lazy animators at EA.
They both learn how to do a hot stone massage.
Thats a great suggestion, only where in their apartment can they fit a massage table?
Finally, a good decision on a vacation.
That's a very nice sandcastle, Kimberly.
That's a nice... hole in the backyard. I guess she's looking for a map to a mysterious hut.
Ravi finds - a crab! Too bad they can't have him for dinner.
Instead, I see they're having Kimberly's comfort soup, passed down from her Grandpa Sam.
Sure, why not. We love having trash all over the yard.
Ravi and sun just don't go together well.
I see they found the Mysterious Hut....OOoooooo, mystery!!! Yeah, everything is mysteriously broken. Wow. Are you picking up on my sarcasm? Because I'm laying it on pretty thick.
So, Kimberly was the only one with any mechanical points. I had her fix the electrical stuff while Ravi fixed the tub. She did well until...
...the microwave. That did not go well for her, but she got the job done.
And of course, Ravi got all the credit. He'd better play nice and, er, share his voodoo doll.
I thought maybe the voodoo doll goes to the person with the map, so I had them come back a second time, this time with Kimberly carrying the map. There was nothing to fix anymore, so it seems that there is only one doll available per vacation. :P At least with the other 2 vacation spots, it's possible for everyone to get the secret lot's memory. Only one person has to make friends in Takemizu - you can have the other sims "join" in listening to the tale about the dragon, and they will get memories and scrolls. And everyone who goes to the Bigfoot lot can make friends with him, although they might pee themselves first.
Kimberly, it's hang loose, not fall over.
Sure, let's see how much more misery we can find on this island.
I guess you have to run to a helicopter. It's a rule or something.
Logic points: easy come, easy go.
Kimberly learns to fire dance. It sure takes a long time.
Meanwhile, this guy gets an old-lady-ass-kicking, just like on "My Big Fat Greek Wedding."
I've never seen this before, but not only is Ravi sunburned, but now the hot sand is burning his feet. Fortunately, he will cool off soon, because it's time for the honeymoon to be over.
Back at home, this is not the same old lady Rudy beats up every day, this is the other old lady that lives at Candy Apple Court.
Great, just great. I'm going to have to do something with that boy. I don't know what, but something. He has some weird love/hate thing about old ladies.
When Kimberly gets home from vacation, she gets to fix the computer. Fortunately, she doesn't get fried this time. She can't call a repairman, and for whatever reason, the landlord doesn't seem to fix them. It's not like I want the landlord inside their apartment, anyway.
Ravi is now a Fast Food Shift Manager. Way to move up the, uh, food chain there, buddy.
Monday Morning: Time to pay rent, but first Kimberly must throw up for awhile.
Scoring: 1 point for Ravi joining the neighborhood, and they worked on their vacation memories. The total population of Apple Grove is now 29. The current population is 28.

Stench Sofa! Cool! I've never seen anything like that before
Ya know, that is something I have never done....bought a vacation home. I need to do that. ;)
I've not done it myself, but from what I've read if you take the voodoo doll out of the back-pack you should be able to get another.
Also, from my own experience I think the Sim that "offers help" is the one who gets the voodoo doll.
Wow...a stinky couch, that is interesting. I haven't ever bought a vacation home either, I should sometime.
Yeah, I miss the smelly couch. I really wish I had kept it, as I've never seen one since. I usually have the sell the vacation home back when they return from vacation - sort of a "time share" thing. ;)
